1. Mother and Daughter
Looking backwards through the looking glass,
I see
a woman who looks
remarkably like me.
And with aesthetic similarities,
One might picture me
with equal dignity.
But, unknown, this is a lie
For I have seen my reflection
Jumping, arcing high
like a brilliant Rainbow
over snaking rivers
That would have claimed my life
